4. Create:
- The students will be separated into two groups.
- One group will remain seated in silence, reading an article, for one minute while the other group will have one minute of movement and opportunity to talk to classmates.
- Once one minute is up, the class will come together and work on an individual assessment (Question)
- The groups will then switch roles (those who were seated the entire time will now be the group to move around/exercise for one minute, and the group that was moving around will now remain seated at the desk) and follow the previous step
External-After, we will come together and discuss which group they preferred by using a polling source.
Internal- During your shadow study, if the students you observed were able to move around, do you think you would have seen an improvement in there performance, and attitude towards learning?
6. Act: After doing today's exercise how many teachers would implement physical activity into your future classroom? If so, in what ways?
Building a Creative Brief:
1. Making aware, the importance of physical activity for academic progress.
2. To show how this topic is relevant, and can easily be implemented within their own classroom
3. Future students, it impacts health, behavior and academic experience.
4. Throughout the school day, and every 30-45 min of class time students should be given a 15 minute break.
5. The students in this classroom.
6. Fixed ratio and fixed interval. Students will expect it.
7. Teachers need to implement physical movement throughout the United States, through the department of ed as soon as possible. Has been successful in foreign countries.
